on SNL there was this joke about putting ranch dressing in ones hidden valley...  which makes me want to say, i hope i will just say the words instead of euphemisms to my kids.  i am guilty of saying schlong and boobies, and man parts and tatas, and etc etc..  "Sex" or "penis" sounds tame compared to some of the phrases.

enough of you are on facebook, and i thought of just jumping ship/blogging to fb... but something about that annoys me.  maybe it's that i have to log in a lot just to keep up and i don't want to add to the newsfeed traffic.
i am really losing my mind.  not enough adult interaction.  like, i will think in my mind, i need to shave.  then i'll say it out loud, but it comes out, "i need to vacuum."  d'oh.
i'm craving a burger. (sorry james)  though it seems that when i satisfy cravings, it doesn't hit the spot.  and that's frustrating.
i can be germophobic and i can be strangely nonchalant about messiness, too.  how does that work??  dust around the house, whatever.  washing hands after touching a grocery cart, a must!!
it will take more than a lifetime to figure myself out.  eesh.  maybe it's good to have mystery.  but for now, i need to vacuum ;)

so how many times do you go to a place/restaurant before you decide to dislike it?  3 is a good number, though with so many choices... it's easy to just go once.

-i go grumblegrumble when i get my VA car tax bill.  but for the first time, it seems smallish.  like, under 40 bucks.  i get grumbly because r's car always costs less than mine.  maybe in ten years the bill will be 3 bucks.  (and r's car tax will be 23 cents)  keep going down!!
-went to visit town hall today.  n was like, do you want to visit your first floor friends?  and i was thinking, um..no...not really.  i'm not much of a parader, but we went.  i get a little nervous about stuff - will we get chilled out sean, or grumptastic sean??  he got fussy right when we left.  phew.  heh.  someone said i was looking skinny.  i really wanted to say, it's my chest that's so big and it makes everything else look little.  but there was a guy there.  so i just make a face. (so instead i tell the interwebs. heh)
the stroller!  it would.not.close.  i started panickiing in the parking garage.. and s was crying, which gets me tense.  and i tried to shove it in the car uncompacted.  that didn't fit.  i called N, and L came out, and it wouldn't budge for her either.  it's comical, i suppose.  but these days i'm still on the clock, and i felt the window of time shrinking, shrinking... L takes the stroller and we figure i'll pick it up another day.  but L calls me when i'm on the road and tells me T got it to collapse.  i make a uturn and pick it up.  happy ending.  :b
-what would i do if i had sextuplets/septuplets/octuplets??  besides cry a lot?  thinking about this lately.  i think the dvr's missing jon and kate plus 8, but i don't mind.  i think that show has jumped the shark- is that mean or what.  like the show has become their life and their work.  but what would i do?  would i not do the same?  would i not take advantage of these opportunities?  sigh.  i hope the kids make out okay.
-la habra!  my apologies to g and the memories of the salmon palace.  i never thought i'd hear about la habra ever again.

while flipping channels, i saw rachel ray and she sounded really...ick.  like marge simpson's sisters.
jennifer tagged me for a 20 album meme.  i had listed about 12, and i kinda gave up.  half of those were just albums that i really liked; nothing that really signified anything or any turning point in my life.  i could probably do a 20 significant song meme... which reminds
me..
i recently heard Calloway's "i wanna be rich" and paula abdul's "cold hearted snake" on the radio.  they really bring back stuff from the back of the closet!  hehehe.  ya know what, i have itunes credit and i should get inspired to use it.  maybe buy some mariah carey, or bare naked ladies or whateva.

this buy more save more for tombstone pizzas...
1,2, or 3 for 4.99 each
4 for 3.99 each
5 for 3.49 each
6 for 2.99 each
7 for 1.99 each
so even if you just wanted 3, you might as well buy 7.

i like when you bring something to a potluck and it gets eaten!  no leftovers!  good feeling!
i also like when you bring something to someone's house and it happens to be just what they needed.  in our case, a case of bottled water.  it was very random and very cool.
i don't like obviously fake, dark tans.  unnecessary.

i mostly hate selfcheckout at the grocery store because either I or the puter am/is too moronic to work it smoothly.  and then lights start blinking and i inevitably need assistance.
but
i thought of one good use for them.  i mean, besides if you needed to buy feminine products.  bwah!  they accept pennies.  so if you had a big jar of change, you could liquidate there.

w/ digital cameras, i wonder if instead of living the moment, we get so caught up in documenting it, that we miss it.  i catch myself saying, "oh!  i wish i had a camera..." but why can't i just be happy in the moment?  i both love and loathe photography, and the same goes for portrait pics.  i love seeing other ppl's pics.  then again, there can be....picspam loathing.
says the chick who has more pics of sean than pics of her entire childhood ;)

Joseph's Lullaby

Go to sleep, my son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before you
Rest your little head

Can you feel the weight of your glory
Do you understand the price
Or does the Father guard your heart for now
So you can sleep tonight

Go to sleep, my son
Go and chase your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace

I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child

Go to sleep, my son
Baby, close your eyes
Soon enough you'll save the day
But for now, dear child of mine
Oh my Jesus, sleep tight

this is hard!

i heard ya when you said "life will change" and "nothing will prepare you".  but i didn't fully understand.  i still don't think i've adjusted.  this is the hardest adjustment in my life.  no other milestone/life change has done this to me.  i can say my life is divided into pre-sean and post-sean.  and here i wrote more venty stuff, but i deleted. ;P  i guess i feel... alone.  and stressed.  i need prayer.
